Thailand Visa on Arrival process

   Prepare Documents

   Assemble the checklist above before you leave for the airport.

   Arrive at an Eligible Airport or Border

   Only designated entry points issue arrival entry.

   Step 3

   Proceed to the Immigration / Visa Counter

   Follow the signs for visa on arrival or foreign passports.

   Submit Passport & Documents

   Hand over the passport with your tickets and accommodation proof.

   Pay the Visa Fee (if applicable)

   Carry the accepted currency in cash where cards are not accepted.

   Immigration Clearance

   Biometrics and questions about your purpose of visit may follow.

   Enter the Country

   Check the stamped duration before leaving the counter.

Important Conditions

• Visa-free stay of 30 days per entry, applied according to your date of entry.
• Visa-free entries by land border are limited to two per calendar year.
• Immigration may ask for proof of onward travel, accommodation and funds.
• Working is not permitted on a visa-exempt entry.
• For stays beyond 30 days, apply for the appropriate Thai e-Visa at thaievisa.go.th before travelling.
• Entry remains at the discretion of the immigration officer.
